So I haven’t posted in a while…

I suffer with hearing loss and anxiety and I don’t like to be very open about it but I’ve been reading that life is much easier if people know. So I struggle with any social situation if it’s more than 3 people, hopefully I can get something sorted soon. The one plus side to this is that I can craft a lot and I have been busy making a sewing machine cover.

I haveย designed a crochet outside with a sewed lining, it’s come to a halt as I’ve been feeling unwell. I’ve got a few things on the go a pair of socks and a beading project. The beading project is one I’m designing, it’s a needle case with a big sunflower. I’m making it in parts so far. Very happy with how that’s going. I also made a cushion to match. The machine cover. So without further a do here are my pictures…

    1. Me ๐Ÿ™‚ I made a lord of the ring themed one for my Mum and wanted to make one for me. I’ve got flat ones but I like the 3D element of them.

      1. Ahh sorry I wasn’t ignoring you I didn’t see this. I love that I do lots of different crafts, different moods require different crafts maybe she has the two crafts that suit her. Oh my that looks like an amazing festival, I am envious that so many craft events happen in America we don’t really have that much in the way of events (that I know of) in the Uk. I am very flattered you think my beading could be at a place like that! I’ll be there in spirit ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Do you like making toe up socks? I’ve never tried them but I’d like to give them a go at some point ๐Ÿ˜Š love the sunflower ๐ŸŒป

    1. Yes, I used to knit cuff down on dpns. But I now use circulars (soooo much easier) I tried toe up because I’m not all that keen on doing Kitchener stitch and you can try it on as you go. Also one plus is if you run out of yarn you can just move onto another one. It took me some time to get my head around sock knitting but if you look at it in sections it’s pretty straight forward. If I can knit socks anyone can! If you ever need any help, I’m happy to help ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you they are my favourite flower.

      1. I’ve also tried dpn before but I much prefer the circulars, I just normally do my socks from cuff down ๐Ÿ™‚ I really want to try a toe up version though, the trying as you go would be great!

  2. I saw your socks and they are just gorgeous ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve knitted loads of vanilla socks but this is the first patterned ones I’ve done. One of the discoveries I’ll never go back to how I did it. I’m using smaller addi circulars and it seems to take me longer but I get a more tidy stitch. Another one I’m very interested to try is knitting one sock inside another, it slightly makes my head hurt but I get it. I do like knitting two at a time tho, it means if I make a change in one sock I don’t have to keep notes.
